Fire destroys XIX Century Paris Belltower
A fire damaged the 19th-century Paris city hall building, leaving the bell tower at risk of collapse in the 12th arrondissement of Paris on January 27 morning, causing no casualties but severely damaging the bell tower of the 19th-century building.
The fire broke out at 3:20 a.m. on the roof of the building. About 150 firefighters battled the flames and the blaze was extinguished by morning.
Although the malicious cause was immediately ruled out, several days after the event the causes have not yet been made public.
